TheYotaGarage is proud to offer the Radium Engineering PCV Catch Can Kit for your 2022+ Toyota GR86. Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. These kits mount using factory holes and integrate perfectly with the surrounding components. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), thus are emissions and track legal. Closed loop systems remove the oil and sludge from the PCV gasses before it is routed to the engine to be burned. A closed loop system also promotes negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance. Furthermore, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin. The dipsticks built into the catch cans allow easy inspection of accumulated fluid. No cutting, drilling or permanent modifications are required. The PCV catch can kit runs inline between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV "check" valves close and, thus, this hoses experience no flow. Conversely, the PCV hoses will experience "metered" vacuum when the engine is idling, steady state cruising, and decelerating. This would normally draw unwanted crankcase vapor, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold immediately after a high load run. Note: No inline check valve is required since Radium catch cans are pressure sealed. This means a direct intake manifold connection is permitted.

FEATURES

  • Less oil consumption effectively raises octane
  • Cleaner air increases engine performance
  • Prevents sludge buildup in the intake
  • Lowers hydrocarbon emissions
  • Capacity: 7 fluid ounces
  • Height (without fittings): 5 inches
  • Outside Diameter: 2.45 inches
  • Compatible With All Current Aftermarket Forced Induction Kits

The catch cans are strategically located for compatibility with Right Hand Drive (RHD) and Left Hand Drive (LHD) variations. Minor brake line clearancing is necessary on RHD installations. Both kits are compatible with all current aftermarket forced induction kits. For mounting, the kits use factory bosses and holes on the chassis. No cutting, drilling or permanent modification to the vehicle are required.

The two oil catch can kits are completely independent of each other and are sold individually or together. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), thus are emissions and track legal. Closed loop systems route clean filtered air back in through the engine to be burned and to promote negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance. Furthermore, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors into the cabin.

The 20-0911-FL PCV kit mounts on the RH side of the engine bay.

This catch can runs inline with the 5/8" PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve. When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV "check" valve closes and, thus, this hose experiences no flow. Conversely, the PCV hose will experience "metered" vacuum when the engine is idling, steady state cruising, and decelerating. This would normally draw unwanted crankcase vapor, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold immediately after a high load run.

NOTE: Because the Radium Engineering catch cans are pressure sealed, they are great for boosted applications as well. Connecting to the intake manifold is permitted.
